The U.S. Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") today published a Federal Register Notice announcing the launch of a National Customs Automation Program ("NCAP") that will utilize the Neoflow Crude Oil Platform to modernize the importation of pipeline crude oil from Canada into the United States.
The U.S. NCAP will start on July 2, 2026 and represents an important advancement in the digital transformation of cross-border trade. Using Global Interoperability Standards (GIS), decentralized identifiers (DIDs), and verifiable credentials (VCs), participants will be able to exchange trusted digital information across the crude oil supply chain with greater efficiency, transparency, and integrity.
The NCAP demonstrates how digital credentials and interoperable data standards can support more streamlined customs processes, enhanced supply chain traceability, and improved compliance while reducing administrative burden for industry participants.
Neoflow is proud that its platform has been selected to support this initiative and to help demonstrate how modern digital infrastructure can strengthen trusted trade between Canada and the United States.
We extend our sincere appreciation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Department of Homeland Security's SVIP program, industry participants, and the entire Neoflow team whose collaboration and commitment made this milestone possible.
The NCAP marks an important step toward the future of digitally enabled trade, where trusted data can move as efficiently as the goods it represents.
